Ricky has been a member of CWA for 22 years. He currently serves as President of the Local. Past positions held include Steward, Executive Board, and Executive Vice President. Other than Local 6502, Ricky currently is President of the CWA Arkansas State Legislative Council, and on the Executive Board of Arkansas AFL-CIO. When not doing any of the above, he is a CAD Technical Specialist for SBC.

As a direct result of Union membership, Ricky notes the advantage of being able to bargain collectively with our employer. Because of collective bargaining, his wages and benefits are at a fair level. He also benefits from having a voice on the job and other rights provided by a contract that many other workers outside CWA do not enjoy. It has been a privilege for Ricky to represent the members of Local 6502 and from this he has received a great deal of personal satisfaction.

Ricky's family include his wife, Melissa, 4 sons (Ricky, Joshua, Dustin, and Matthew), daughter-in-law Julie and two dogs, Abby and Jaycee. Outside of telephone work, he has a part-time photography business and is a personal fitness trainer. As a pastime, Ricky says he loves college baseball.
